Maple leaf parade time!

So this year for the maple leaf parade I am planning on letting my students paint my bus! each student will make a design, I will choose to 1 for the driver and 1 for the passenger side. I have painted my bus with a special material called plastic dip. students paint temperature on the plastic dip, after the parade it should peel off!

Hot dog I love that weiner man!

I love VWs, and my principal drives a VW bug.  she also loves hot dogs so when I found this box I combined the two!  papercraft model can be found at this link. it gets me thinking I think my students will make some papercraftmodels!

It also reminds me of a song my wife remembers from her youth:

I know a weiner man 
he owns a weiner stand
he sells most anything from hot dogs on down
one day i'll join his life
i'll be his weiner wife
hot dog i love that weiner man!

My artwork for the beehive collaborative

Took suspiciously to little time. The Beehive Collaborative is an independent art studio started by a local art professor, Josie Mai, just a few blocks from our school here in Carthage, MO.  Carthage is reinventing itself to a degree as a small art community, and Josie has this show called "Small world, Big Love"  I believe.  All The artworks need to be about community, particulary what it means to be in the community surrounding Joplin, MO.  Limited to 12x 12 in size.  This artwork is taken from my trip to Eureka Springs, AR, to a VW show.  Very loving people.
